Jane Ballantine, the founder of Limitless Learning Limited, has been a fan of the Girl Geek Scotland group since she first discovered them nearly a year ago. Having previously attended dinners and workshops organised by the group, Jane was a speaker at the dinner last night. She spoke about her career path and what led to her creating rAPPidRevise apps and the problems she’s encountered along the way.
I asked Jane how she found the evening:
“I loved it – the whole experience was really enjoyable. It was great to catch-up with old, familiar Girl Geek friends, as well as make new ones in the audience – some of whom I hope I can work with in the future. The Girl Geek events attract a diverse but very friendly bunch of intelligent women. I find it very liberating to spend an evening surrounded by interesting, dynamic women who aren’t afraid to talk tech. Nina Sundberg from Microsoft was the other speaker last night and she gave an interesting account of her working life and how it has taken her to different parts of the world. The food was delicious, as always, and I even got sent home with cake! Yum-yum!”
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend last night, but all the feedback I’ve heard was good so I’ll look out for the video online.
