School sports site

Sports_Noticeboard

This website was launched to coincide with the Olympics in 2008. The aim of the site was to encourage more school pupils to take up Olympic sports before the Olympics in London in 2012.

The site was aimed at Key Stage 4 students (aged 14-16). It taught the theoretical aspects of GCSE Physical Education and sports science with comprehensive interactive notes on the theory of training, living a healthy lifestyle and reaching peak performance.

The site contained diagnostic tests, interactive quizzes and downloadable worksheets, as well as a database to put students in touch with relevant sports clubs of interest in their local area.

Comprehensive teachers notes in the staff room mapped the contents of the site to different GCSE syllabuses.
